The Apollo 13 Film

           The Apollo 13 film was based upon the book Lost Moon by Jim Lovell. It was based on his time during the Apollo 13 mission. This movie starred Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise, Ed Harris, and Kathleen Quinlan. The film was directed by Ron Howard and produced by Brian Grazer. The movie was filmed at Imagine Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures. The music was produced and edited by James Horner. The main movie editing was by Daniel P. Hanley and Mike Hill. The release date was June 30, 1995 and the running time was 140 minutes which is about 2 and a half hours. The budget cut for this movie was 52 million dollars, but they made a profit of over 300 million on the movie itself. Although this is just a movie that is script, the historical accuracy of this movie is very close to the real mission.
